Exciting opportunity for an experienced mining professional to apply your geological skills towards achieving production targets across cave mining, narrow vein mining, and open stoping at our Telfer site in WA. This role is on a FIFO 8/6 roster.

Overview
We are currently seeking Mine Geologists to provide geological support to our underground mining operation at our Telfer site in Western Australia. In this capacity you will be exposed to three types of underground mining, including sub-level caving, narrow vein mining, and open stoping.
Reporting directly to the Superintendent Mine Geology, your duties may include:
Facilitating the development of geological knowledge from collected data to ensure that the latest resource model reflects the current geological understanding;
Achieving resource model improvement by incorporating the latest mapping, sampling and drilling data;
Preparing and maintaining up-to-date geological models for production, planning and scheduling.;
Supervising the drilling contractor, grade control drilling activities, and the collection of geological samples;
Actively improving the prediction of the grade of material from drawpoints; and
Maintaining occupation health and safety standards, while ensuring all duties are performed safely and in compliance with statutory requirements and company policies.
This is a permanent position working a roster of 8 days on, 6 days off, departing from Perth.

Families are welcomed several times a year to open days.
About You
To be successful in this role you will must have some experience as a Geologist within a similar operating environment, ideally working with gold, copper or base metals. While it is preferred that candidates have solid experience in underground mining, we will consider applications from candidates with only open pit mining.
Other requirments include:
A Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Geology;
Current C Class manual drivers licence; and
Experience using Vulcan 3D mining software.
