Supervise projects of high difficulty, with work being reviewed as needed; works under limited supervision. Manages multiple smaller projects or large projects, including supervision of field crew and subcontractors, project scoping and principal client interface, budget and schedule management. Has a significant role in business/client development, and serve as a primary mentor to one or more junior staff. Develop a significant amount of work for themselves, and one or several staff.

Education And/Or Experience
Master's or Ph.D. degree in geology, geophysics or earth sciences.
8+ years experience in engineering geologic and/or seismic hazard site assessments.
C.E.G. and/or P.G. license required, or out-of-state equivalent.
Experience should include: site characterizations; performance or field exploration programs including drilling, trenching, sampling, geophysical surveys and analysis of test data.
Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
Skilled in project management and budget tracking.
Familiarity with Federal and State geologic regulations preferred.
OSHA HAZWOPER training preferred.
Expected to provide team leadership, task delegation, and mentoring of junior staff in technical development.

Technical Skills
Individual must possess an understanding and knowledge of geotechnical engineering, geology, and related disciplines, and must possess an overall understanding of technical requirements and field data acquisition procedures.
Must be able to learn software for communication, project management, and technical analysis.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret procedures, regulations, and technical information; and write reports with clarity using good grammar.
Ability to effectively present ideas and technical information orally in a clear and concise manner and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Work cooperatively as part of a team, interacting effectively with co-workers, clients, and vendors; exhibit creativity and good problem solving skills.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Drivers license with acceptable motor vehicle record.
Ability to procure a passport.

Additional Requirements
Available for domestic and international travel with possibility of extended field work assignments.
Ability to drive safely in metropolitan and field environments.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Direct multiple project/year (budget, schedule, scope of work, client relations).
Produce $200K to $300K revenue/year.
Demonstrate proficient report/proposal writing and verbal communication skills
>70% utilization rate.
Support technical needs of clients.
Design, implement, and supervise field exploration programs, and site characterization studies.
Develop scope, estimate costs, and procure subcontractors.
Develop and adhere to reasonable project schedules and deadlines.
Research and data analysis.
Perform engineering geologic analyses and develop reasonable conclusions and recommendations.
Prepare technical reports in a timely, organized, and accurate manner.
Develop positive client relationships.
Maintain positive reputation in professional community.
Maintain positive corporate reputation.
Help develop project opportunities and identify markets.
Participate in and support continuous improvement of the company's processes, including but not limited to the Fugro Consultants, Inc., safety program.
Perform other duties as assigned.
