Job summary:
Petroleum engineer within the Kurdistan Development team to provide critical expertise into the management and development of DNO’s significant fractured carbonate assets. Work undertaken will have a direct impact on the business decisions made by the Company.

Key Responsibilities:
Work-over and well intervention planning
Well and network modelling
Well test design, interpretation and supervision
Production allocation, reporting and forecasting
Reporting and presentation
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Ideally MSc Petroleum Engineering or, as minimum BS degree in Petroleum Engineering (or equivalent).
15+ years experience in the E&P Industry. Extensive experience with an operator
Thorough knowledge and understanding of diagnosis of well/reservoir issues and planning well interventions in fractured carbonates, including water shut off
Specialist within well and network modelling
Specialist within well test design and interpretation
Key Attributes:
Significant technical competency
Strong workstation skills and expertise with modelling & simulation software (Petroleum Experts IPM suite, Kappa), ability to learn new software
Flexible, adaptable, problem solving, resourceful
Good interpersonal, presentation, communication and reporting skills (fluency in verbal and written English language), including recognition of local cultural requirements
Good organizational skills to plan and execute multiple studies/projects simultaneously
Ability to work independently, in team and across functional groups
Initiative and desire to learn and expand within role
Moderate business travel required
